Shipping & Delivery Policy

UK Freight Logistics, Pallet Delivery Terms, and Transit Information

Important Notice: All equipment is dispatched through verified commercial hauliers and pallet networks. Heavy industrial deliveries are subject to the kerbside terms outlined below.

1. Delivery Destinations

Teesside Air Supply Ltd supplies industrial compressed air equipment throughout the United Kingdom. Our standard delivery zones cover Mainland UK (England, Wales, and Scottish Lowlands). Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands may require specialized maritime freight routing and incur additional carrier surcharges and extended transit times. Please contact us for a bespoke offshore freight quote prior to ordering.

2. Order Processing & Dispatch Timelines

  • Daily Order Cut-off Time: 14:00 GMT (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).
  • Handling & Dispatch Time: In-stock equipment is securely packaged, pallet-strapped, and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days.
  • Transit Time: Mainland UK standard palletized freight delivery typically takes 2 to 4 business days following collection by the freight carrier.
  • Orders placed over weekends or statutory UK public holidays are processed on the following working day.

3. Shipping Rates & Calculations

Shipping charges for industrial machinery are calculated accurately during the checkout process based on product dimensions, total consignment gross weight, and delivery destination postcode. Transparent shipping costs are displayed prior to finalizing your payment.

4. Heavy Industrial Machinery & Pallet Delivery Conditions

Due to the substantial weight and precision components of industrial compressed air dryers, shipments are dispatched secured to wooden transport pallets. Please carefully review the following delivery terms:

  • Kerbside Delivery: Deliveries are executed via heavy goods vehicles (typically 18-tonne or 26-tonne rigid lorries fitted with a hydraulic tail-lift and manual pump truck). Delivery is strictly kerbside or to the nearest accessible hardstanding entrance.
  • Site Access Requirements: The customer is responsible for ensuring the delivery address can accommodate heavy commercial vehicles. Delivery locations must possess solid, level ground (tarmac or concrete). Drivers cannot maneuver pump trucks across gravel, loose stones, grass, or steep inclines.
  • Onsite Offloading: The driver is not contracted or insured to move machinery into your plant room, workshop, or internal facility. Internal handling requires customer mechanical lifting equipment (e.g. forklift truck or appropriate industrial moving gear).
  • Access Restrictions: If your delivery location has narrow access roads, bridge weight limits, or restricted delivery hours, you must notify us at the time of order placement. Re-delivery fees charged by freight carriers due to failed access are the responsibility of the customer.

5. Shipment Tracking

Upon carrier handover at our warehouse, an automated dispatch confirmation containing your consignment tracking number and carrier contact details will be emailed to you. You can monitor the progress of your freight shipment directly via the carrier’s tracking portal.

6. Inspecting Delivery & Transit Damage Protocol

CRITICAL REQUIREMENT: You must thoroughly inspect the outer packaging and protective wrapping before signing the driver’s Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation or handheld scanner.

  • If any outer damage, punctures, crushed corners, or torn stretch-wrap is evident, you must sign the POD clearly as “DAMAGED”. Signing without inspection or as “unchecked” invalidates freight insurance transit claims.
  • Take immediate, high-resolution photographs of the damaged pallet, outer packaging, machine serial plate, and the damaged equipment itself.
  • Notify Teesside Air Supply Ltd within 48 hours of delivery by emailing support@teessideairsupplyltd.com with your order number and photographic evidence. We will promptly address the issue with the carrier and arrange a replacement or repair.
