Returns & Refunds Policy
UK Statutory Rights, Commercial Return Terms, and Warranty Procedures
Important Notice: All returns require a prior Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) issued by our technical support team. Unauthorized shipments to administrative addresses cannot be accepted.
1. Consumer Cancellation Rights (B2C Orders)
In accordance with the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, individual consumer customers (purchasing for private, non-commercial use) are entitled to cancel their order within 14 calendar days from the date of physical receipt of the goods.
- The item must be completely unused, uninstalled, free of oil or contaminants, and in its pristine original manufacturer packaging with all manuals, fittings, and accessories intact.
- The consumer is responsible for paying the direct return freight costs. Given the weight and size of palletized industrial air dryers, return freight must be handled via a professional freight carrier.
- A deduction may be made from the reimbursement if the value of the goods has been diminished as a result of handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the equipment.
2. Commercial & Business Customers (B2B Orders)
Purchases made by commercial entities, businesses, sole traders, educational institutions, or for commercial manufacturing purposes are governed by commercial contract terms under English law:
- Commercial purchases do not have an automatic statutory right of return for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or surplus ordering.
- Discretionary commercial returns require prior written authorization from Teesside Air Supply Ltd via an authorized RMA number within 14 days of delivery.
- Authorized commercial returns are subject to a 15% to 20% restocking and technical inspection fee to cover electrical safety testing, refrigerant circuit integrity checks, and re-warehousing.
- Specially commissioned, custom-built, or non-standard voltage units are strictly non-returnable.
3. Faulty, Damaged or Defective Goods
If equipment arrives damaged in transit or exhibits a functional manufacturing fault upon professional installation, it is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and UK statutory protections:
- Notify us immediately at support@teessideairsupplyltd.com with your order number, a clear description of the defect, and photos or video of the machine and electrical installation.
- For verified defects, we will coordinate with manufacturer service engineers to repair, replace defective components, or collect and replace the unit at our expense.
- Defects caused by incorrect electrical wiring, inadequate ventilation, ambient temperatures exceeding manufacturer ratings, or improper pneumatic sizing are not covered by warranty.
4. Return Procedure & Instructions
To request a return, follow these steps:
- Email support@teessideairsupplyltd.com stating your original order number, contact details, serial number of the unit, and the reason for return.
- If approved, you will receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) document and the exact delivery address of the designated UK receiving logistics depot.
- Securely package the equipment, strap it securely to a wooden pallet, and affix the RMA document prominently to the outer packaging.
- Dispatch the consignment using a reputable freight haulier with tracking and adequate transit insurance.
5. Refund Processing
Upon physical arrival at our logistics depot, the unit will undergo a thorough technical inspection (typically completed within 3 to 5 business days). Once approved, your refund will be processed back to the original method of payment (card or bank account) within 5 to 10 business days. Any applicable restocking fees or carrier charges will be itemized on the credit note.
